Until you do not learn the previous step do not begin the next one
or (wa
laDH-DHaaaaaalleen) madd written on Qur’aan is depends on script, above two are the example of Chapter (Surah) No.1. The Opening or Al
Fatihah of last ayah(ayat/verse),carring middle madd and big madd in a same
word so we need to go in details,
Small mad(choti madd)
The alphabet which has ‘karri zabar’ , ‘karri zer’, ‘ulti
pesh’ these are read for little stretch(1x) or 1 second or little less than from 1 second. practice
required.
But at the time of waqf(stop) only karri zabar well
little stretch(not ‘karri zer’ and ‘ulti
pesh’)
And Alphabet Maddah(Long vowels)
If the previous alphabet of ‘waw’ sakin has ‘pesh’ then it is
called ‘waw maddah, previous alphabet of ‘alif’ has ‘zabar’ then ‘alif
maddah’,and If the previous alphabet of ‘yaa’
sakin has ‘zer’ then it is called ‘yaa maddah’.
there is no change in
“Alphabet maddah”.means read as in
stretch 2 beats. At the time of waqf(stop)
• Madd Tabee’ee (natural Madd)= Step 6 Alphabet Maddah(Long
vowels) In Arabic the long vowels some
circumstances, may be represented by these signs
(waqf (stop) at karri zabar 2 beats) (not ‘karri zer’ and ‘ulti pesh’)
(stop at
“Alphabet maddah” 2 beats)
"alphabet maddah" and “alphabet Leen” followed by
sukoon due to stop.=(2) or (4) or 6,
(alphabet maddah 2 beats if not stop)(alphabet leen no madd
if not stop)
alphabet maddah is followed by hamza in 1st word or next
word 4 or 5 beats
alphabet maddah is followed by tashdeed or sukoon 6 beats
• Madd Aaridh Li-Ssukoon 4 beats(2 second or little less than from 2
second)practice required.
After alphabet maddah you have sukoon due to stop.
Madd Aridh Li-Ssukoon
means “temporary Madd for stopping ”.
If a Madd Tabee’ee is
followed by a letter at the end of a word, which has been made Saakin
temporarily because the reader has to stop at the word, the reader should
prolong the Madd Tabee’ee to be Madd Aridh Li-Ssukoon.. Madd Aridh Li-Ssukoon
can be prolonged 2,4 or 6 beats. For the sake of simplicity, we will prolong it
4 beats.
Note: This Madd only exists if the reader stops on that word. If the
reader does not stop on it, it should be considered as a Madd Tabee’ee (2
beats).
• Madd Al-Leen 4 beats(2 second or little less than from 2
second)practice required.
If you see jazm after “alphabet Leen”.Leen means “easy”.The
Leen letters:- A Waw or Yaa Saakin preceded by a letter with a Fathah. When
should we do this Madd?
If one of the Leen
letters is followed by a letter at the end of a word, which has been Saakin due
to stop , the reader should prolong the Leen letter. The reader can choose to
prolong it 2,4 or 6 beats.
If the reader will not
stop, no Madd is applied.
• Madd Waajib Muttasil 4 or 5
beats(2 second or little less than from
2 second)practice required..
Or If you see hamza
after “Alphabet maddah” in a same word
• Madd Jaa’ez Munfasil 4 or 5 beats(2
second or little less than from 2 second)practice required.
If a Madd Tabee’ee present at the end of a word is followed by a Hamzah ( ) which is present in the beginning of the next word, or If you see hamza after haroof-e-madd(stretching alphabet or Alphabet maddah) in a 2nd word ,which has hamza and 1st word has alphabet maddah
If the reader stops on a
word that ends with Madd sign like the Madd will be considered as Madd
Tabee’ee (natural Madd) (Step 6
Alphabet Maddah) (2 beats)
• Madd Laazim 6 beats((3 second))
If you see jazm or tashdeed after alphabet maddah.
If a Madd Letter is
followed by a Mushaddad letter, the reader is required to prolong the Madd
letter.
If a Madd letter is
followed by a Saakin letter, which is present in the same word, the reader is
required to prolong the Madd letter.
If a Madd letter is
followed by a Mushaddad letter, the reader is required to prolong the Madd
letter.
If a Madd letter is
followed by a Saakin letter, both of them being present in the same letter, the
reader is required to prolong the Madd letter.
