Until you do not learn the previous step do not begin the next one
id-ghaam (to merge) or idghaam means: -
“To mix” or to “put one thing into
another”. It is the mixing or entering of a Saakin letter into a Mutaharrik
letter following it, so that they became a single Mushaddad letter.
IF AFTER
NOON SAKIN OR TANWEEN YOU SEE ANY OF THE 4 Alphabet JOIN(MERGE) THE Alphabet AND LENGTHEN(Stretch) FOR 1
SECOND WITH A NASAL SOUND(Sound come from nose). If the Noon Saakin or
the Tanween is followed by any of these four letters, the reader should make
Idghaam with Ghunnah for 2 beats or (1 second or little less than 1 second).
Skip the Noon sakin and Put imaginary
tashdeed (if already present then do not put) on the next alphabet after noon sakin and do
Gunnah (2 beats) on that alphabet where you have tashdeed.
Tanween has two zabar, two zer,two pesh
it will changes to one zabar, one zer,one pesh and Put imaginary tashdeed((if
already present then do not put)) on the next alphabet after tanween and do
Gunnah (2 beats) on that alphabet where you put tashdeed.
“ =hamza sign and ‘= ayn sign, [here read (“u) as you
read “u” in the word out, bounce, around]
and [read 1st two (y*) to (i) as you read (i) in word (miser) {two
(y*) is for Ghunnah} (read 3rd y as usual like yahoo),read “oo”as
you read in word (food).More go to "Example Of Step 1 Arbi Alphabet"

REMEMBER – STRETCH THE NOON SAKIN OR TANWEEN WITH
WHATEVER IT IS JOINT TO.
THERE ARE CERTAIN WORDS IN WHICH THERE IS A NOON SAKIN
AND ONE OF THE 4 Alphabet BUT
WE DO NOT MAKE ID-GHAAM(to merge) (DON’T STRETCH) BECAUSE THE NOON SAKIN
AND ONE OF THE Alphabet IS BOTH IN
ONE WORD. FOR EXAMPLE:
MEMORISE THIS: IF AFTER MEEM SAKIN YOU SEE THE Alphabet () MERGE BOTH
MEEMS AND MAKE GHUNNA (NASAL SOUND AND LENGTHEN FOR 1 SECOND).
Or If a Meem Saakin is
followed by a “ meem”, the second Meem is pronounced with Ghunnah . Remember
that a “noon and meem mushadad(having tashdeed or shaddah)” will always be
recited with heavy gunnah. if the reader stops on a word ending with Noon or
Meem Mushaddad, the Gunnah for the Meem or Noon Mushadad still have to be
applied.
The letters laam and raa are also known as
ID-GHAAM letters but are read without a ghunna. If after noon sakin or tanween
you see the Alphabet laam or raa
then you will merge the noon saakin or tanween with the laam or raa but there
will be no Ghunnah. Or
If the Noon Saakin or the Tanween is
followed by any of these two
Alphabet , there is no Ghunnah while making the Idghaam.
Skip the Noon sakin and Put imaginary
tashdeed (if already present then do not put)
on the next alphabet after noon sakin.
Tanween has two zabar, two zer,two pesh
it will change to one zabar, one zer,one pesh and Put imaginary tashdeed((if
already present then do not put)) on the next alphabet after tanween.
