Short Vowels(Harkat) “Movement”
There are three types of Harkat (Vowels)
-
fatha
(zabar)= it is pronounced
by separating the two jaws and opening the mouth .after alphabet
keep ‘a’.
kasra
(zer)= it is pronounced
by dropping the lower jaw. after alphabet
keep ‘i’.
dhamma (pesh)= it is pronounced
by rounding the two lips completely without letting them come into a complete
contact. after alphabet keep ‘u’.
Example Fu + ’ai
+ la = Fu’aila
The alphabet which has ‘harkat’ is called ‘mutrak’. So here is mutrak. Do not stretch Mutrak in reading. Example
If you stop in between reading ,either ‘ayat’ verse finish or not then it is called “waqf”
